"The New York Philharmonic invites audiences attending the 2017 New York Philharmonic Concerts in the Parks, Presented by Didi and Oscar Schafer, to join the Orchestra in community performances of the “Goin’ Home” theme from the Largo movement of Dvořák’s New World Symphony preceding the annual free outdoor concerts in the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn, June 13–16, 2017. Audiences are encouraged to bring any instrument (voice included) to the parks to join in the performances, conducted by Music Director Alan Gilbert, before the Orchestra performs the full symphony during the concerts.
